Benefitz has recently partnered with New Zealand based technology company Heliner, with the supply of a brand new CNC Router, tailored for our specific requirements. Heliner, based in Lower Hutt, Wellington, specialises in tailor-made CNC routers, laser cutters, tooling, and CAD/CAM software.
“Our previous CNC machine gave us 15-plus years of service, but we were overdue for an update and were keen to have local technology from a local supplier,” explains Benefitz Signage Manager Wayne Brown. “We came across the Heliner technology at a couple of other manufacturing businesses with good endorsements. We liked that they are a 100% owned Kiwi business that puts the machines together in New Zealand and can provide ongoing support.
“We viewed the Heliner machinery in action at another Auckland site and then visited their factory in Wellington. We were impressed with the machinery and the all round package that the Heliner team could provide. Importantly they were able to tailor the machine to suit our diverse requirements. Our order was placed in the later part of 2025 and the machine was installed in early May 2026.
“Heliner clearly understand the importance of a reliable and efficient CNC router for our cutting and engraving needs. These are serious CNC routers, designed with the latest technology and robust structures, offering high accuracy and reliable performance.”
At Benefitz the CNC machine is mainly used for cutting elements for signage projects. It can cut and engrave timber, plastic, sign board and aluminium in large formats.
The Heliner CNC Router H-1637 that has been manufactured and installed for Benefitz is an Auto Tool Change 3-Axis CNC Router with a working area (bed) of 1600mm by 3700mm with a maximum height 300mm.
“The machine has been in action for a few weeks now and we are thrilled with it,” adds Wayne Brown. “It has improved things in a big way and increased our overall capability. We can cut bigger stuff, and a wider variety with improved accuracy. We’re very happy.”
