A work of art by Benefitz at Te Papa
BENEFITZ recently printed a giant 5 metre by 5 metre banner for the European Masters exhibition held at Te Papa, the Museum of New Zealand, in Wellington.
Spanning the dynamic and transformative years of the 19th and 20th centuries, this exhibition featured 96 works by 70 of the greatest German, French, Spanish, Belgian, Dutch and Swiss masters of the period. Included are iconic Neoclassical, Realist, Impressionist, and Symbolist works, as well as breathtaking German Expressionist paintings and sculpture.
The massive print gave visitors to Te Papa a larger-than-life viewing of a painting by European master Anselm Feuerbach. The high-quality reproduction of Half-length figure of a Roman woman in a white tunic and a red cloak was printed on the Benefitz HP Scitex XP5300 grand format printer.
Benefitz printed a similar image for the Monet exhibition held at Te Papa. Benefitz is the only company in New Zealand with a machine of this type capable of printing images this size in one piece.
