Introducing... Channel Magazine

Over the past year the team at Benefitz has conceived, launched and established an exciting new monthly magazine for the North Shore. The magazine, Channel, has proven to be a big hit, growing from 60 pages to over 100 pages and an initial print run of 16,000 to over 22,000.

Channel Magazine is North Shore’s Monthly Magazine for news, views, events and people. The glossy magazine is distributed free to over 18,000 homes and 4,000 businesses on the North Shore. It is also available in cafes and from dump bins in several locations around the North Shore.
“We are thrilled with what we have achieved with this magazine,” says Benefitz Managing Director Aidan Bennett. “We have taken it from an idea to a strong brand in less than a year and it continues to go from strength to strength. Advertising support has been strong in what has been a pretty soft period for the economy.”
A feature of Channel Magazine is positive stories and news from the North Shore. These include feature articles, interviews, business profiles and regular columnists.
The magazine is also supported by a comprehensive website which includes magazine content and more.
“Being our own ‘baby’ this has been a great opportunity for our team to let their creative juices flow,” adds Aidan Bennett. “So we have been innovative with the magazine. An example are the covers, designed by Jared Trice. These have been sensational and recent covers have been innovatively diecut, bright pink – the fashion issue, and a very recent cover was embossed to create a texture on the large netball which dominates the cover.”
Channel Magazine is published by Benefitz monthly (11 issues a year) – on the first Friday of every month.
