For many years Benefitz has also been a sponsor of the Enterprise North shore Young Enterprise scheme, or YES as it is often referred to. The Young Enterprise scheme is a school-based business programme that runs internationally and in New zealand secondary schools at years 12/13. It fosters tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, giving them the opportunity to form a company, create a business plan, and produce goods or services to sell. students learn all aspects of running a business including budgeting, decision making, identifying and managing risk, market research, marketing, selling, and annual financial reporting. Benefitz produces a YES Handbook and also sponsors the a prize for the best business card design and the Benefitz Award for Excellence in motivation. managing director Aidan Bennett was on hand at the North Harbour Stadium to present the motivation award to Le Penseur from Westlake Girls High school who were nominated for this award as they had been consistently highly motivated throughout the year.
