THE Benefitz HP Scitex FB6100 flatbed Printing machine, as profiled on the previous spread, has to be one of the most versatile printing machines in the country.
“We have obviously had a flatbed for some time so have been able to offer these options to our customers, but this new flatbed takes the possibilities to new levels. It is faster, it prints to a higher resolution and it can print on thicker substrates. It is a fantastic machine,” says Benefitz Director Dallas Bennett.
Examples of what the machine is capable of are illustrated on this spread. While it is perfect for printing onto Corflute, Palight and signage board, it can also print directly on to perspex, acrylic, glass and fabrics for architectural solutions. Examples are the thick acrylic panels that are being printed above. These are sold as artworks and were previously printed on adhesive which was stuck to acrylic. The direct printing is better in quality and much more economical for the customer. We recently also printed some fantastic prints for National Geographic which were used to exhibit their leading photographs from around our beautiful country.
