YUPO Visit
Sep 1, 2009Benefitz was honoured recently to receive a visit from representatives of Yupo Corporation of Japan.
Yupo is an advanced synthetic paper with a reputation for delivering extreme tear, and water resistance. At Benefitz we use Yupo on both our grand format digital machinery as well as our offset machinery.
Yupo is a synthetic paper made mostly from polypropylene film to which inorganic fillers and small amounts of additives are added. Yupo is environmentally very friendly. No toxic substances or environmentally-harmful substances are used in the manufacturing process. Because the primary raw materials of Yupo are carbon and hydrogen, it does not give off toxic chlorine gas when ignited. In addition, Yupo is reusable.
If Yupo gets wet, there is virtually no reduction in its strength or deformation, making it outstanding against water exposure.
Because the primary raw material is polypropylene, Yupo is resistant to stretching, folding and other stress.
